1) 어휘 (Vocabulary)

오늘의 단어 (형용사와 비교급 형태):

원형 비교급 뜻
tall taller 더 키 큰
small smaller 더 작은
fast faster 더 빠른
big bigger 더 큰
heavy heavier 더 무거운
short shorter 더 짧은
old older 더 나이 많은
young younger 더 어린

2) 문법 (Grammar)

주제: 비교급 만들기

비교급은 두 사람이나 사물을 비교할 때 사용합니다.
형용사에 -er을 붙이거나 more + 형용사 구조를 사용합니다.

1. 규칙 비교급

  • 대부분의 짧은 형용사 → -er
    • small → smaller
    • fast → faster
  • 단모음 + 자음으로 끝나는 경우 → 자음을 한 번 더 써줌
    • big → bigger
    • hot → hotter
  • y로 끝나는 형용사 → y → i로 바꾸고 + er
    • heavy → heavier

2. 불규칙 비교급

원형 비교급 뜻
good better 더 좋은
bad worse 더 나쁜
far farther/further 더 먼
 

기본 구조

  • A is + 비교급 + than + B.
    • My car is faster than yours.
    • Apples are healthier than chips.

3) 회화 (Conversation)

주제 1: 사람 비교하기
A: Who is taller, you or your brother?
B: My brother is taller than me.

주제 2: 물건 비교하기
A: Which bag is heavier?
B: The red bag is heavier than the blue one.

주제 3: 날씨 비교하기
A: Is today colder than yesterday?
B: Yes, it is!

4) 리딩 (Reading)

Two Pets
I have two pets: a dog and a cat. My dog is bigger than my cat. He is also louder. But my cat is faster than the dog. She loves to jump and run around the house. Both of them are fun, but they are very different!
